How It Works

What are Zennoa Tuition Rewards® points?

  • The Zennoa Tuition Rewards is a unique private college savings program. ZENNOA Tuition Rewards Points are like frequent flyer miles - but for college tuition!
  • Zennoa Tuition Rewards are discounts off of tuition at participating private colleges and universities. The Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points represent the minimum scholarship that an eligible student will receive if and when he or she attends a member school. Schools may count Zennoa Tuition Rewards as part of their normal institutional aid. For example, if a family redeems 30,000 Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points for a student, the student is guaranteed to receive a minimum of $30,000* in financial aid (scholarships or institutional grants), spread equally over four years of undergraduate education. He or she may receive more, but is guaranteed not to receive less.

Earning Zennoa Tuition Rewards While Building Your Zennoa business

  • Zennoa Tuition Rewards can be earned by Zennoa Affiliates worldwide! Rewards can be earned by purchasing a Success or Premium Enrollment Pack when joining Zennoa. Rewards can also be earned by purchasing and selling Zennoa products. Rewards accrue monthly with your monthly Loyalty Order and for all of your customers’ monthly retail orders. (The annual maximum is $5,000)

Sponsors - the "Account Holders"

  • A Sponsor is usually the parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle who is the owner of the Zennoa Tuition Rewards account. Sponsors are required to register on the SAGE website to be able to track and utilize the Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points. Sponsors are responsible for adding students to their Zennoa Tuition Rewards account, assigning Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points to students, and submitting Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points to member colleges and universities.

Using Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points

  • Zennoa Tuition Rewards points are typically earned by the Sponsor and accrue in the Sponsor's Zennoa Tuition Rewards account. It is up to the Sponsor to assign (transfer) Zennoa Tuition Rewards points from the Sponsor account to students listed on their account. Zennoa Tuition Rewards must be assigned to a student by August 31st of the year that the student begins 12th grade. After that date, the student's rewards value cannot be changed.
  • When a Zennoa Tuition Rewards student applies to a participating school(s), the student's Sponsor must submit the student's Zennoa Tuition Rewards statement to that school. The statement(s) are submitted from the Sponsor's "My Students" page.
  • The use of Zennoa Tuition Rewards is limited to full-time, undergraduate tuition at participating colleges. Zennoa Tuition Rewards are remitted solely as a reduction to the participating college's full tuition bill -- and NOT awarded in cash. Colleges reserve the right to use the tuition reduction as part of, or separate from, any financial aid packages. Member colleges are not required to accept Zennoa Tuition Rewards on transfer students.
  • If a student does not use his/her Tuition Reduction Reward -- for example, if the student selects a non-participating college -- most rewards can be refunded back into the Sponsor's Zennoa Tuition Rewards account and then transferred to a younger eligible student. All Zennoa Tuition Rewards in a student's account will expire three years past the listed date of high school graduation unless redeemed or refunded to the Sponsor's account. Points in a Sponsor's account never expire.
  • If a student applies, is accepted, or is attending a college that is not participating in this program -- but subsequently decides to participate -- the college is under no obligation to honor his or her Zennoa Tuition Rewards.
  • If any college should decide to discontinue participation in this program, it has agreed to honor rewards accumulated for any student prior to the last day of the college's participation.
  • The maximum discount from Zennoa Tuition Rewards that a student can receive is 25% of the cost of tuition at a member college or university.** The Zennoa Tuition Reward must be applied evenly over the years of undergraduate education (typically 4-years, but may be 5 if student is in a co-op program). If the student completes undergraduate education in other than four years, it is up to the participating college to determine how the tuition reduction will be applied per year.** Some schools have a limit that may be less than 25% of the cost of tuition. You can view a complete list of member schools, along with the maximum amount each school will accept, from the Participating Schools page after logging in to your account.

Sponsoring a Student

  • Students may be sponsored and receive Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points from multiple sponsors (ex: parents & grandparents,). A sponsor must transfer Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points to a student prior to August 31st of the year that the student begins 12th grade. A sponsor may provide Zennoa Tuition Rewards to any child in the sponsor's immediate or extended family. Eligible relations include children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well as great/grand relations, step, God and adopted children. Assigning your Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points to a Scholarship fund in your name is not yet available.
  • Students are eligible to be added to the Zennoa Tuition Rewards Program from birth until the beginning of their junior year in high school (August 31st between the sophomore and junior years in high school is the cut-off date).

Communication With Colleges

  • Participating colleges may send information to high school students and their families enrolled in the Zennoa program -- enabling colleges to communicate to members who fit the college's student profile.

No Restriction on How You Pay for College

  • Specific incomes earned from Zennoa purchases that have been used for the calculation of Zennoa Tuition Rewards Points need NOT be used for payment of college expenses.

College Admission & Transfer

  • The college list keeps growing, giving your child a larger number of schools to choose from. Rewards can only be used at participating colleges. Students do NOT need to pick a particular college now -- that's one beauty of the program.
  • Students must apply and be accepted through a participating colleges’ normal admissions procedures to qualify for the reward. Zennoa Tuition Reward membership is not considered in the admissions process.
  • If students transfer from one participating college to another, the college accepting the student has the right to decide whether it will honor any unused Zennoa Tuition Rewards.

What are Zennoa Tuition Rewards?
Think of ZENNOA Tuition Rewards Points as similar to "frequent flyer miles" that can be redeemed for guaranteed discounts on college undergraduate tuition, starting with the freshman year, at over 375 participating private colleges & universities. Instead of earning ZENNOA Tuition Rewards by flying, you can earn rewards through a variety of different channels. A student's ZENNOA Tuition Rewards Points represent the guaranteed minimum amount of institutional financial aid (i.e. scholarships and/or institutional grants) that a participating college will award to the student. The student may receive more financial aid than the rewards points represent, but he or she will not receive less! For example, if you redeem 30,000 points for a student, we guarantee that the student will receive at least $30,000 in financial aid!* * Some schools may accept less than 30,000 points. This is an example only. The current maximum that any one school will accept is 53,505 points. For most schools the maximum obligation is based on the current published freshman year tuition.
What are the program deadlines?
  1. Students must be in the Zennoa Tuition Rewards program prior to August 31st of the year that the student begins 11th grade** ** Some programs may have a later deadline to add a student. Please refer to the program documentation or your Welcome e-mail for details.
  2. Students cannot earn, or receive points after August 31st of the year that the student begins 12th grade
  3. A student's sponsor (the Zennoa Tuition Rewards account holder) must submit a student's statement to any member school he or she applies to at the time of the student's application to that school
How much can I save off a participating college's tuition?
The maximum that schools are obligated to accept is 25% of the cost of tuition (based on freshman year tuition), spread equally over four, or five, years of undergraduate education. For example, if the "list price" of tuition for a school is $40,000 per year when your student matriculates, this means that your guaranteed minimum discount would be up to $10,000 per year (providing that you submitted at least 40,000 points to the school). These amounts are taken from the published list prices as shown in the Higher Education Directory each year. One point equals one dollar in tuition discounts.
Why are so many colleges joining the Zennoa Tuition Rewards consortium?
That's easy -- they want to attract more students, or better students, or both. And, they're eager to attract qualified students who might not be familiar with their college. Colleges know that the direct costs (professors, teaching materials, etc.) for additional students are less than the full tuition for those students. So, by guaranteeing you a discount off the listed price of tuition based on the dollars you've invested - as long as colleges cover their direct costs, they come out ahead. Our colleges understand that they need to remain affordable, and they're eager to reward families who are truly saving for college.
Who can I "sponsor" in the Zennoa Tuition Rewards Program to use the points I earn?
You can sign up children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members (including great/grand relations, step, God, and adopted children) to use your Zennoa Tuition Reward Points. You cannot sponsor students such as your neighbor’s or co-worker's children where there is no family relationship.
When one of my students applies to a participating school, what do I need to do?
Within a few days of the student's actual application, sign into your account, locate the student on your "My Students" page and follow the link to submit his or her rewards. Do not submit a student's rewards weeks or months late or early. Please submit rewards only to schools that the student has actually applied to.
What if I can't use the Zennoa Tuition Rewards?
If you don't use your Zennoa Tuition Reward Points, then you've still lost nothing; Zennoa Tuition Rewards is a free program for families.
Can we still apply for other financial aid?
Absolutely! The purpose of the Zennoa Tuition Rewards Program is to insure that the student(s) you've sponsored will receive a scholarship at least equal to the size of his/her Zennoa Tuition Rewards. He or she may receive more aid, but cannot receive less!
Are Zennoa Tuition Rewards applicable to fees, room, board, books, etc?
No, just tuition.
Can Zennoa Tuition Rewards be used if my child transfers to a member college or university?
It's up to the school that he or she is transferring to. While there is no contractual obligation to the Zennoa Tuition Rewards Program that would require that the school honor the rewards, most schools are willing to honor at least a portion of the rewards.
What happens if I am no longer a Zennoa Affiliate?
You stop accumulating Zennoa Tuition Reward Points, but the points that you've already earned are yours to use.
What if a college becomes available after I join, can I still use my accrued points for that college?
If I join Zennoa Tuition Rewards now, while my child is in 5th grade, and the college he/she wants to attend doesn't join Zennoa Tuition Rewards until my child is in 12th grade, will I still receive my total reward, from 5th grade on? Yes! That's the beauty of Zennoa Tuition Rewards -- as more colleges join, Zennoa Tuition Reward Points are applied to these schools, too -- and, you have more choices!
Is the tuition reduction taxable?
We are not tax attorneys; however, IRS Publication 970, "Tax Benefits for Education", states clearly, "You do not have to include a qualified tuition reduction in your income." Zennoa Tuition Rewards meets the qualified tuition reduction definition.
How can I earn Zennoa Tuition Rewards?
You earn Zennoa Tuition Reward Points through the following activities:
  • Purchase a Success Pack for $325 and receive $500 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points.
  • Purchase a Premium Pack for $430 and receive $1,000 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points.
  • Receive up to $500 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points on the first month Loyalty Order of your first six personally enrolled Affiliates.
  • Receive Zennoa Tuition Reward Points for Loyalty Order volume and personal customer retail sales with a $150 PV threshold - e.g. 175 PV total Loyalty Order and customer retail volume = 175 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points and 140 PV = 0 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points
  • US Cap - 5,000 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points per year and 3,000 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points from personally enrolled.
  • Japan Cap - 5,000 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points per year and 3,000 Zennoa Tuition Reward Points from personally enrolled.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing! Zennoa Tuition Rewards is always free for families and students.
Will my Zennoa Tuition Rewards ever expire?
Zennoa Tuition Rewards in a sponsor's account (as shown on the Account Statement page) will never expire. Unused Zennoa Tuition Rewards left allocated to a student (i.e. in a student's account) will expire on August 31st three years after the year of high school graduation. Unused rewards should be moved back to the sponsor's account prior to the expiration date.
We can't afford a private college. Why should my family participate?
Did you know that at public universities, according to a UCLA study, only 28% of incoming freshmen graduate in four years - versus 67% of freshmen at private universities? The percentage of students who graduate in four years at a private college is the same as the percentage who graduate in six years at a state college. An earlier graduation means less tuition spent, and the student can begin to repay any loans sooner - which means less accrued interest. Add to that the increased financial aid available at private colleges and private colleges are less expensive than you realize - and our program makes attending a private college even more affordable.
Do I have to allocate Zennoa Tuition Rewards to my students equally?
No, it is up to you to decide how you want to give your Zennoa Tuition Rewards to the students you sponsor. We recommend that sponsors allocate Points to the oldest child first; if he or she doesn't attend a member college, transfer the Points to the next-oldest child in your family.
Can I give my Zennoa Tuition Reward Points to my church / school / employer / another family?
Zennoa Tuition Rewards can only be used by the children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom you sponsor in the program. If an older beneficiary doesn't use his or her Zennoa Tuition Reward Points, you may transfer the points that are not student-specific (for example, non-bonus points) to a younger enrolled student. You cannot give unused Zennoa Tuition Rewards to another parent or organization.
Is participation in Education Planning Resources a guarantee of admission into participating colleges?
No, each school's normal admission's standards still apply.
What if my student receives a merit scholarship? How will this affect the Zennoa Tuition Rewards?
Zennoa Tuition Rewards represent the minimum scholarship, spread evenly over four years, a participating student will receive if and when he/she attends a participating school. If your student receives a scholarship or other institutional aid from a member school, then the school can choose to "blend" (include) or "stack" (add on top) the Zennoa Tuition Rewards with the other scholarship funds, grants or other discounts.
Can Zennoa Tuition Rewards be used for graduate school, summer school, evening classes, or part-time classes?
No, Zennoa Tuition Rewards can only be used for full time, undergraduate education beginning with the freshman year at a participating private college or university.
Can I ever "cash out" my Zennoa Tuition Rewards account?
No. Zennoa Tuition Rewards are Points and are never awarded in cash.
I don't see any colleges of interest. My child is in 9th grade. Why should I participate?
  1. By the time your child is ready to apply to college, additional schools of interest are likely to join.
  2. It costs you nothing to participate in the program, regardless of where your child goes to college.
  3. After doing research, you may find that we offer many appealing choices. Or, you may have another child - or niece, nephew or grandchild -- who could benefit in the future.
What happens if a college joins that my student has already applied to, or has matricualted to?
If a student applies to, is accepted by, or has already matriculated to a college that is not participating in this program -- but subsequently decides to participate -- the college is under no obligation to honor his or her Zennoa Tuition Rewards.
This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?
The "catch" is that member schools are encouraged to recruit the students whom you sponsor (but not before the student is in high school). Your students are likely to receive some mail or e-mail from the participating colleges and universities after they begin high school. We do not share your, the Sponsor's, information with any schools or other third parties.
